Online Store Widget
Catalog
Publish your products to the widget: upload a CSV, map the columns once, and let each product page lock the planner to the right dimensions.
The widget is driven by a catalog of your products. You upload your tile and flooring range as a CSV, map its columns once, and from then on each product page locks the planner to the real dimensions of the SKU being viewed.
What the catalog stores
Each row is one SKU with the fields the planner needs:
| Field | Meaning |
|---|---|
| SKU code | The identifier your store already uses. Cart lines return this exact value. |
| Name | Product name, shown in the widget's material dropdown. |
| Width / Height | Tile dimensions in millimetres. The planner locks the shopper to these. |
| Pack qty | Tiles per box, so the order can be expressed as boxes plus loose tiles. |
| Image URL | A public HTTPS URL to the product image, shown on the canvas. |
| Material type | Ceramic, porcelain, LVT, wood, or other. |
| Collection | Groups products into the widget's collection picker. |
| Price | Optional list price for the on-screen estimate, display only. |
CSV upload
Export your catalog from your store or ERP as a CSV, upload it in your Scalarcut dashboard, and map the columns. Scalarcut remembers the mapping by the CSV's header fingerprint, so the next time you export and upload, the columns are already assigned.
The essential columns are the SKU, the name, and the size. Size can be a single W×H column (for example 600×300) or separate width and height columns:
sku,title,size_mm,pack_qty,image
CER-600-300,Porcelain Grey,600×300,8,https://cdn.example.com/cer-600-300.jpg
LVT-1210-180,Herringbone Oak,1210×180,10,https://cdn.example.com/lvt-1210-180.jpg
Everything else — thickness, grout joint, material type, collection, price, barcode, ERP id — is optional and only enriches the widget.
Images stay on your CDN
Scalarcut references your image URLs directly and never copies the files. The widget loads each product image from your CDN at render time, so licensing, caching, and storage all stay with you.
Consumables
Adhesive, grout, and primer are not imported as catalog rows — the CSV maps tile SKUs. Instead, the widget calculates consumable quantities from the layout and shows them in the estimate and the Blueprint PDF. Whether those quantities also sync to the cart is a separate, opt-in setting for merchants who stock and sell them. See Cart integration.
Locked versus demo mode
With a locked catalog, the widget shows only your products and enforces your SKUs' real dimensions. Without a lock, it can run as a free-form demo — handy if you want planning available before the catalog is set up.
Prices are display-only
If you include prices, the widget shows them in the estimate for context. The final price is still applied by your checkout when the cart lines are added. The widget never charges a shopper.
