Factory MBOM
Factory MBOM Quickstart
Plan as usual, then click the Factory MBOM button in the planner header to download the JSON and CSV. Plus the machine-to-machine HTTP path for ERP middleware.
Factory MBOM is a feature of the Scalarcut tiling planner, not a separate app. You plan the room the same way you always do — 2D/3D, catalog, cut list, estimate — and an enabled planner adds a Factory MBOM button in the header that downloads the machine-readable document.
Required
- A Scalarcut account with Factory MBOM enabled. The export is unlocked on the Enterprise plan. If you do not have it, open the Factory MBOM page and request access.
1. Plan as usual
Open the planner and lay out the room exactly as you would for any job: dimensions, tile size, pattern, openings, cut list, and estimate. Sliver Guard and the Cut Recycling Engine work the same way — Factory MBOM does not change the layout.
2. Export the Factory MBOM
Click the Factory MBOM button in the planner header. The planner downloads two files:
…-factory-bom.json— the fullscalarcut.factory_bom.v1.1document.…-factory-bom.csv— the piece list (same columns as the JSON pieces).
The JSON is generated by the same cut-list and BOM engine as the Blueprint PDF — it is the same millimetre schedule, in a machine-readable form.
3. Feed the files to your systems
Hand the JSON to your ERP/MES middleware or the CSV to a cutting table. See ERP & MES Integration for the field mapping.
Machine-to-machine (ERP pull)
If your middleware pulls the document itself rather than receiving the downloaded files, a keyed HTTP API is available. It returns the same scalarcut.factory_bom.v1.1 document:
curl -sS -H "X-Enterprise-Key: sc_wid_…" \
"/v1/tiling/factory-bom"
This path serves a canonical sample for integrator trials today. See the API Reference for auth, headers, and responses. The planner export button and the API produce the same schema — pick whichever fits your workflow.
